The RC3 will operate as any motion
detector ( uses three AAA batteries -
included -battery life about six months or
use enclosed power supply to use no
batteries). As a person passes within the
detection area of up to 20 feet the sensor
will detect the person and chime from the
sensor . There is a choice of 10 chimes /
tones . The slide switch on the chime will
also allow for an alarm function .
